Your First Visit to Our Pittsburgh Practice

New practice members often remark how “homey” our practice is. That’s good, because our goal is to provide the highest quality chiropractic care in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Make Yourself at Home

You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and everything will be explained in detail as your first visit unfolds.

If you’ve already completed your New Patient Information Form, great! If not, that is okay, after filling out the brief form you will be shown a short 5-minute video and then consult with Dr. Wallace Shaffer. Also, if you have insurance, we will be more than happy to verify your chiropractic benefits.

Tell Us About You

The purpose of your consultation with Dr. Shaffer is to discuss your health history. Dr. Shaffer will take a detailed health history and after consulting with you to obtain your approval, a thorough examination, along with only those x-rays deemed to be necessary from the examination results, will be performed.

Your Second Visit to Our Pittsburgh Practice

After we study your health history, x-rays if taken, and correlate our examination findings, we will make recommendations designed to help you restore and maintain your health, and inform you of the costs involved, if any. We call this the Report of Findings.

This report is usually given on your second visit after you have viewed a short second video on your arrival. This two-visit approach gives us the necessary time to correlate the information from your first visit and avoids overloading you with too much information.

In certain situations, and in the professional judgment of Dr. Shaffer, we sometimes make exceptions. It just depends on your unique situation.

Regular Visits

A typical office visit consists of a chiropractic adjustment and therapy modalities when indicated.

We are very respectful of our practice member's time. We take pride in being very efficient in order to provide quality chiropractic care in a timely manner.
